Field of Membership

Membership is extended to employees and retirees of the following:

The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond:

  1. Employees of the Veterans Administration Facility who work in or are paid from Newington, Connecticut;
  2. Volunteer workers, doctors, medical staff and technicians who regularly perform their duties in the Veterans Administration Facility in Newington, Connecticut;
  3. Employees of the Veterans Canteen Service who work in the Veterans Administration Facility in Newington, Connecticut;
  4. Employees of nursing or convalescent homes located in Hartford County, Connecticut who work in Hartford County, Connecticut;
  5. Employees of employers under contract with the Veterans Administration Facility in Newington, Connecticut;
  6. Employees of the Hartford Regional office of the Veterans Administration who work in Connecticut;
  7. Employees of all veterans’ service organizations who work in the Hartford Regional office;
  8. Employees of the General Services Administration who are assigned to the Federal Office Building that houses the Hartford Regional Office;
  9. Employees of the Federal Highway Administration who work in Hartford, Connecticut;
  10. Employees of the Interstate Commerce Commission who work in Hartford, Connecticut;
  11. Employees of the Bureau of Motor Carriers who work in Hartford, Connecticut;
